When third generation master woodturner Matt Moulthrop heard about the loss of the Auburn Oaks at Toomer’s Corner, he reached out to the Auburn Family and offered to make a bowl from the wood for JCSM’s permanent collection. The Auburn Oaks Bowl was unveiled in May as a part of a special exhibition featuring Matt’s work and the work of his father Philip and grandfather Ed. The bowl remains on extended view with other artwork from the permanent collection.
