ARTIST TALK: “Social and Community Engaged Art: The Genuine and The Artificial” by Rick Lowe”

Please join us to welcome the 2015 Breeden Scholar in Residence and 2014 MacArthur Fellow, Rick Lowe. Rick Lowe is an artist who resides in Houston, Texas. His formal training is in the visual arts. Over the past 20 years, he has worked both inside and outside of art world institutions by participating in exhibitions and developing community-based art projects.

 

The program will be followed by a reception and cash bar. This appearance is sponsored by the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University and Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art.
