Education at The Jule aims to develop critical thinking and visual literacy skills for every learner through object-based inquiry of original artwork in a co-learning environment. Grounded by collection strengths in modern and contemporary art, we actively invite artists, often alongside an exhibition of their work, to engage with the Auburn community through free public programs. Our annual calendar includes artist talks, lectures, film screenings, and symposia, offering unique opportunities to meet with and learn from visual artists, art historians, scientists, conservators, and others leading innovative research in their fields.

New exhibitions are presented every semester. Questions and prompts for looking encourage visitors to explore the galleries at their own pace creating a co-learning environment. These resources are written with a first year freshman in mind, providing artist background, object details and where both fit in our shared history.
