Next in an ongoing series of exhibitions that highlight the collecting activities of patrons and friends of the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, we present a selection of paintings, prints, and drawings assembled by Dr. Ed Hayes. Hayes’s collection encompasses works by Old Masters through contemporary artists, with a strong focus on 19th–20th-century American art dealing with southern subjects. Artists represented in the collection include Elliott Daingerfield, Anne Goldthwaite, Palmer Schoppe, Prentiss Taylor, and William Aiken Walker.
