Exhibition Dates:

October 15, 2011–January 21, 2012
The Louise Hauss and David Brent Miller Audubon Galleries

John James Audubon intended his compositions to convey information, not only about the fauna he represented, but also about their environments. He provided detailed pictures of the natural landscape as well as the human mark laid upon it. This exhibition will study the observations Audubon made and recorded in the landscape backgrounds of his prints.
