Students enrolled in Auburn University art professor Barb Bondy’s Professional Practices class are collaborating this fall to organize a competitive exhibition of art by senior undergraduate students from colleges and universities across the Southeast. Drawing on inspiration from the literature of Dr. Maya Angelou, who will visit the campus November 8, the selected art works reflect the rhythms of Angelou’s poetry and elegance of her prose. On view in the Corridor Gallery, the exhibition is juried by Diane Edison, Professor of Art at the University of Georgia Lamar Dodd School of Art. Edison is represented by George Adams Gallery in New York and is a recent Fulbright Scholar senior lecturer and researcher in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Exhibition Dates:
October 20–November 17, 2012
