“Ten Seventy-Two – A Campaign for Conserving and Collecting Art” is inspired by the historic 1948 acquisition from the U.S. State Department exhibition, “Advancing American Art.” Women, immigrants and people of color created many of the celebrated Modernist works, and so this year’s collection focus—to increase representation by women of color—pays tribute to that grounding precept.
In this online-only exhibition, explore acquisitions in-process and consider funding this initiative as a part of your yearend giving plans.
