Congratulations to the artists who participated in Young Artists Atelier this summer. This year students learned about photography and portraiture to coincide with the exhibition Facing South: Portraits of Southern Artists by Jerry Siegel, as well as works of sculpture, jewelry, and paintings inspired by the work of John James Audubon. Many thanks to the staff at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center and the City of Auburn. The works created by the students will be on view at JCSM September 21 through October 8 in the corridor gallery. YAA is funded by JCSM through a City of Auburn K-12 Outreach Grant.
