Gifts to build collections

You can help us continue to build our permanent collections either through the donation of significant works of art or by providing the charitable funds for future acquisitions. JCSM’s collections represent a rich resource that reaches across various academic curricula and areas of interest. The director and curator welcome any and all inquiries in this area.

Endowments

You may make a philanthropic gift to support a specific exhibition, program, staff position, our facility and grounds, or other area of interest. Our exceptional exhibitions have ranged from the historic to the contemporary and from regional to international topics. In addition, our free education classes reach thousands of K–12 students and our museum programs for campus and community include a wide range of lectures, films, and drop-in art classes.

Planned Giving

You can choose to remember JCSM through a planned gift. This option makes it possible for you to incorporate charitable giving in your total financial and estate plans, securing JCSM’s future for years to come as a vital cultural and education resource that enhances our community’s quality of life.

Naming Opportunities

A naming gift to Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art provides a highly visible and lasting tribute to an individual or individuals whose extraordinary contributions deserve recognition and commemoration. With travertine niches, an intricately patterned marble floor and a ceiling height of over 16 feet, the Grand Gallery is a space of distinction. The Grand Gallery provides a refined setting for the museum’s collection of sculpture and decorative arts and also provides access to the museum’s other galleries. Its floor area is expansive and the gallery is often used for a number of social events, including stand-up receptions for 400 people and sit-down banquets for more than 150.

Rotunda

Constructed of the highest quality material, the Rotunda sets the standard to which all public architecture in Auburn aspires. The museum’s Main Lobby, Grand Gallery, Museum Shop, Terrace and Museum Café are all accessible from the Rotunda, which is composed of a vaulted ceiling, clerestory windows and a semicircular glass wall through which the Terrace’s fountain can be viewed.
