Art Excursion to the High Museum of Art

Join JCSM for a day-long excursion to Atlanta’s High Museum of Art on Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Located in the heart of midtown, this beautiful museum houses many world-renowned offerings to be seen on this trip. The highlight of the excursion will be viewing the High’s current exhibition The First Emperor: China’s Terracotta Army. This internationally-celebrated collection showcases over 100 works discovered in the underground burial complex of China’s first emperor Qin Shihuangdi. This collection is one of the greatest archeological discoveries of the 20th century and is considered the eighth wonder of the world. It is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity not to be missed!

Your $90 all-inclusive ticket includes a guided tour of the permanent collection galleries, admission to the world-renowned First Emperor: China’s Terracotta Army exhibition, a gourmet lunch at Table 1280 including tip, all transportation costs including tip and light snacks.

11:00am EST               Arrive at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta
11:00-12:00pm EST     Docent guided tour of the Permanent Collection
12:00pm EST               Lunch at Table 1280
1:30-3:30pm EST         Self-guided audio tour through The First Emperor exhibition
4:00pm EST                 Depart Atlanta for Auburn
5:00pm CST                 Arrive at JCSM
