Common Grounds: Visual Planet: Connections Among Art and STEM in Learning

January 30 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

What can the visual elements of science tell us about the connection of humans to the planet on which we live? Conversely, what can visual art tell us about this connection? How might science and the visual arts work together to increase our understanding of that connection? Join us for a roundtable discussion of connections among art- and STEM-based works represented in Faculty Exhibition 8.

Featuring Daniel Esquivia Zapata, Assistant Professor, Department of Art and Art History; Sara Gevurtz, Assistant Professor, Department of Art and Art History; Christian Dagg, Associate Professor, School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture; David Hinson, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture; and Michael Zabala, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering.
