Q: What is your major and why did you choose it?
A: I am a double major in Film and Communications. I chose my majors because I love telling stories and being creative, and having both of these skill sets allows me to do so in a way that connects meaningfully with people.
Q: What is your favorite thing about your program?
A: I love being able to collaborate with my peers to create really interesting stories. I also love learning more about how we interact with each other and how we can use that knowledge to strengthen our interpersonal relationships.
Q: What is your career goal?
A: I hope to continue working for The Walt Disney Company, hopefully moving into creative communications with them.
Q: What has been your favorite part of working at The Jule?
A: The people I’ve met have been so supportive and encouraging, and have given me the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects that I get to be creative on.
Q: What experience have you gained at The Jule you expect to carry into your career?
A: I’ve gained so much experience in not only content creation and communications strategy, but also just how professional institutions operate. I’m more confident in my soft skills such as collaboration and time management, but also I’ve learned about what goes into more corporate communications that I can implement in a future position.
Q: How has your time working at The Jule informed your coursework?
A: I feel like I’ve been able to apply things directly from my major into my work at The Jule, but also take what I’ve learned at the museum and used it to give me a new level of understanding for theories and concepts I’m learning about in class.
Q: What has surprised you the most about working in an academic art museum?
A: I think something that surprised me is the variety of students and members of the community the msueum serves. It’s not a place that’s just for art majors, or graphic designers, etc. but there really is something that everyone can learn and take away from visiting The Jule.
Q: Have you participated in any research or projects?
A: Some of my favorite projects that I’ve worked on include the Fall 2025 Exhibition walk-through, object spotlights, and the study day reel that went viral on TikTok!
Q: What is your favorite work of art at The Jule Museum?
A: My favorite is the Chihuly sculpture, “Amber Luster” that is hanging in the lobby!
