Founded in 1992, Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company (DTSBDC) is Washington, D.C.’s premier contemporary dance troupe, celebrated for its powerful storytelling and cultural dialogue through movement. Led by acclaimed choreographer Dana Tai Soon Burgess, the company creates art that explores identity, belonging, and the human experience.

DTSBDC has performed at prestigious venues worldwide and serves as the Smithsonian Institution’s resident dance company. Through innovative choreography and community engagement, DTSBDC continues to advance the arts with creativity and a deep passion for dance.
