Gallery Talk featuring visual artist Greg Brown
August 29, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Montgomery-based visual artist, author and Auburn alumnus Greg Brown will host a second gallery talk on August 29, 5–6 p.m., at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art for an engrossing discussion of the works featured in the current exhibition “Creative Cadences: Works by Roger and Greg Brown.” The artist will walk guests through the museum, sharing intimate knowledge of he and his brother Roger’s art in terms of technique, subject matter, influences and background and will answer questions throughout the talk. This is an excellent opportunity for those who missed Greg Brown’s first gallery talk as well as those who attended the artist’s previous presentation and wish to revisit the works in “Creative Cadences.”
The exhibition is on view through Nov. 3 as part of the AL200 celebration of Alabama’s cultural heritage. The gallery talk and exhibition are free and open to the public. A recommended donation of $5 is appreciated.
