In response to The Jule’s fall exhibition theme of “work,” join us in the galleries to do some inner work through a morning of mindfulness and music with violinist, Haleigh Black. Haleigh plays the violin as an offering for peace and relaxation, guiding participants through meditative prompts. Start your day with gratitude, connectedness, and inner peace through the healing power of music and art.
Haleigh Black is a UAB Arts in Medicine (AIM) Artist in Residence and has been exploring the world of music for 24 years as a violinist and vocalist. Singing and playing violin have provided opportunities to study how people across the globe are connected and moved by music. In 2018 and 2019, she spent nine months studying traditional music in Turkey, Greece and Israel. Today she performs various genres of music, from far and near, to help soothe people and offer them a positive human connection.
General admission and all programs are free for everyone.
