Q: What’s your major and why did you choose it?

A: My major is graphic design. My enthusiasm for graphic design is fueled by the power of visual communication to influence emotions and inspire change. Communication has the ability to evoke emotions, express ideas, and sway audiences. It incorporates a wide range of elements, including color theory, composition, and typography to form a unified and engaging visual narrative. As a future graphic designer, I have the opportunity to channel the power of this medium to create designs that inform and captivate viewers.

Q: What is your favorite thing about your program?

A: I love collaborating with my classmates and getting to experiment.

Q: What is your career goal?

A: My career goal is to work in either package design or UI/UX design. I enjoy creating across physical and digital platforms.

Q: What has been your favorite part of working at The Jule?

A: My favorite part about working at The Jule is watching people engage with art and have meaningful conversations. I enjoy contributing to an environments that educate and inspire.

Q: What experience have you gained at The Jule that you expect to carry into your career?

A: My experience at The Jule has helped me strengthen my communication skills and deepened my understanding of how visual designs influence user experiences.

Q: How has your time working at The Jule informed your coursework or choice of major?

A: Working at The Jule has helped me understand how people interact with visual and spatial design.

Q: What has surprised you most about working in an academic art museum?

A: I’ve been most surprised by the planning, research, and collaboration that goes into each exhibition. Seeing the behind-the-scenes work has given me a new appreciation for curatorial and design decisions.

Q: Have you participated in any research or projects while at Auburn?

A: I participated in a project that re-imagined the design of the Library of Architecture, Design, and Construction.

Q: What is your favorite work of art at The Jule Museum?

A: One of my favorite exhibitions at The Jule was FretHaus from 2022.
